Tell us a bit about yourself.
Hello everyone, my name is Michelle Hoffman and I write under Sofia Ann Hoffman. I'm a stay-at-home author, freelance editor, and mom to two fur babies. I adore reading, especially paranormal romance. When I'm not reading or writing, I enjoy working with plastic canvas and yarn. I'm a huge fan of 80s and classic rock.

I do have a reader group called Sofia's Kiss and Tell Symposium where I allow posting of book-related items. I also sometimes will share pieces of what I've written as well as funny gifs and memes. Right now, I am on a YA/NA kick in my writing and find that the types of stories I write don't really follow the normal path. I like to give my characters a dog or a doglike pet/friend in each story because it reflects on my own life. How did you get started?
I've written little things such as poems and short stories for most of my life. I did have a poem published in my high school magazine when I was in eleventh grade, but my first published story didn't release until March 2018. It was a co-written short story for an anthology called Cupid's Playthings. The story itself was titled Taken for a Ride. An author named K.B. Wheelock convinced me to publish solo with my book Floofballs from Hell and it released on the same day that my traditionally published story Steven With a V came out.
What are your goals for 2022?
I've been working hard to try and beat Nano which jump started my muse. I hope to continue on with the trend and finish some half-written works I have hanging around. Plus, I have some gorgeous covers that need stories. Advice I can share would be to realize that publishing a book is fine, but you also have to advertise yourself in order to build your sales and get the attention of places like Amazon.
